GAF Roofing Shingles

North America’s largest shingle manufacturer — installed to Florida code by your dual-licensed Providential project manager.

GAF is the most widely installed shingle brand in North America, and its Timberline line is the best-selling architectural shingle in the country. As a GAF factory-certified installer, Providential can install the full GAF system — shingles, starter, ridge cap, and ventilation — to Florida code, which is also what unlocks GAF’s strongest, longest system warranties.

From the everyday Timberline HDZ to designer lines that mimic slate and hand-cut wood shake, there’s a GAF shingle for almost any Florida home and HOA palette. Use the links below to open GAF’s own brochure, color visualizer, and warranty details, then we’ll bring samples to your free inspection.

GAF shingle lines we install

A range from the everyday workhorse to slate- and shake-look designer shingles. Impact-rated (Class 4) lines are a smart choice in hail- and storm-prone areas.

Timberline HDZ

Architectural (flagship)

GAF’s best-selling laminated architectural shingle, with a wide nailing zone for fast, accurate installation and a Class 3 impact rating.

Timberline UHDZ

Architectural (premium)

A thicker, premium laminate with a dual shadow line for extra dimension, carrying a Class 4 impact rating.

Timberline AS II

Performance / Impact (Class 4)

An impact-resistant architectural shingle made with SBS-modified asphalt that passes the UL 2218 Class 4 test.

Camelot II

Designer / Luxury

A designer shingle shaped to resemble cut slate, also rated UL 2218 Class 4 for impact.

Grand Sequoia

Designer

Oversized tabs create a rugged, heavy wood-shake look; the AS version adds Class 4 impact resistance.

Woodland

Designer / Luxury

Styled after hand-cut European shakes for a high-end, artisan appearance.

Slateline

Designer

A designer shingle with bold shadow lines and tapered cut-outs that mimics the look of natural slate.

Why choose GAF with Providential

GAF Timberline HDZ is also State of Florida approved (and Miami-Dade approved from many plants), and many GAF products qualify toward FORTIFIED Roof requirements. As a certified installer, we install the complete GAF system to code so you get the warranty you actually paid for.

What sets Providential apart

  • Dual-licensed — we hold both a roofing license (CCC1333042) and a building/residential contractor license (CRC1333797), so if structural work is needed we can handle it when many roofers can't.
  • A dedicated project manager on every job — one point of contact from estimate to final inspection.
  • Storm-damage restoration specialists — we document storm damage in detail so you have a clear, professional record for your own claim.
  • 1,000+ projects and a BBB A+ rating — factory-certified installers for GAF, Atlas & Owens Corning, a Polyglass Registered Contractor, and Tile Roofing Industry (TRI) Alliance members, which means longer warranties on your roof.

GAF FAQ

Which GAF shingle is best for a Florida home?

For most homes, Timberline HDZ is the proven, cost-effective choice. If you want extra hail protection or a stronger warranty, step up to an impact-rated Class 4 line like Timberline UHDZ or AS II. For a high-end slate or shake look, Camelot II, Grand Sequoia, or Woodland are designer options. We’ll match the line to your home and budget.

Are GAF shingles good against algae streaks?

Yes. GAF’s StainGuard Plus algae protection comes with a 25-year limited warranty against the dark Gloeocapsa magma streaking that thrives in Florida humidity. We recommend an algae-resistant line for nearly every Florida install.

Does Providential’s GAF certification matter?

It does. Certified installation means we install the full GAF system to specification, which is what makes you eligible for GAF’s enhanced, longer system warranties rather than the standard shingle-only coverage.
